Custom device: cannot route

Hi all,

I have created a new device from scratch: a 60 pin connector.

This device has a tricky part: 6 pins are rounded pins with holes, so I have used SMD pads combined with polygons (to draw the holes) in order to follow datasheet drawings:

After drawing its simbol and package, I'm checking that is working properly in sch and brd files. In the schematic looks working fine. But I have noticed that in the board file the connections made in the schematic are not shown. You can see it in the next (example) image:

image

In the image above, is quite obvious that something is wrong with the connector: while I use standard devices, the rastsnets appear when I make a new wire, but nothing appears in the connector... I have checked the package: I have used SMD pads (first image);

Also the symbol, standard IO pins and device menu also looks fine...

Does anyone knows what I'm doing wrong???

Thanks in advance!!

A couple of things to check.

(1)Have you 'connected' the pins and pads in the library?

(2)Are the nets connected to the U$1 device? Move it on the schematic and

verify the nets stay attached. (Problem happens when you use the wire tool

    instead of the net tool).

    Hi Warren,

You are right, If I move the connector, the wires/nets are not attached to the pins:

    image

So I have opened the library again to check what is wrong, seeking the error...

And notice that the pins where rotated:

    image

Noob failure....So i flipped the pins and now works fine! image

I guess is how you learn... Thansk @Warren!
