Can't find AP1117E50G-13 SOT-223 or equivalent in libs

Former Member

Hi, am doing my first schematic in Eagle and am having trouble finding specific components.

All the tutorials make it look like it just works, but i'm finding that isn't really the case.

I am interested in using a LDO regulator like the AP1117E50G-13.

I have added the Diode, TI and a couple of other libs from Element 14 to try to ensure the components in question are available.

There are now components from these manufacturers available when i attempt to drop a component, but the are still lacking the LDO regulators with the pinout i need (the 78xx variant is available, but the pinout is not compatible)

I need an SOT-223 i can use in the schematic and PCB design where pin 1 = GND/ADJ, 2 = Vout(connected to tab) and 3 = Vin.

Surely there is a way to do this without re-inventing the wheel, any suggestions of where i might be going wrong?

Is there a SUPER Library available somewhere that will add this kind of stuff?

Thanks.

I'm pretty new to Eagle so there might be something that i am missing in the above replies, however hardly any of the links refer to an SOT-223 device with the correct pinout, some doent even have the correct number of pins at all.

Any chance of a few words Clem to help explain what you're trying to show me.

Quite possible that the answer is obvious to someone more experienced with Eagle, but i'm very new to it.

The first list is all the LDO regulators in the Eagle database I could find. The last is a sot-223 package. I really was not sure what you needed, so a gave as broad a list. The library is the name containing the part. Look at the last one, the library is m-pad-2.1.lbr
