Can this library part be made?

Question

I need a library part of a LED from LED Engin part LZ4-00MA00 http://www.ledengin.com/products/emitters#LZ4 There is a dxf file available on the website. When I use the import-dxf.ulp I can't get polygons... only wires. Do I have to switch to another PCB layout program that has the ability to make any library part I wish to use? Any help would be helpfull.

Yes it can be made.. Use a small smd pad and a polygon to make the shape. It will be a bit tricky but very possible. If you got the wires, you could try writing an ulp to convert wires to polygons, it shouldnt be that hard. The hard bit is writing the ulp to adjust for the width of the wire you will use for the polygon. The dxf import will give a zero width wire at the outline of the custom pad so unless you bring it in half the width of the polygon wire width, the polygon will be oversize which matters as the scale of components reduce.
