Autorouter not working

Former Member
Former Member over 8 years ago

I had to switch to a PIC18F87K22 80 pin QFP  from an 18F67K22 64 pin QFP.  I had no issues with the autorouter and the 64 pin device.  With the 80 pin QFP the router makes no attempt to route the pins.  I am at version 7.3.0 and the default router settings.  This was happening using the 7.2.0 version.  The libraries came from the Cadsoft download site.  I hope I just have some setting wrong.  Can someone help?  Thanks.  Juan M. Maybe it's a matter of the routing grid.

for a first check please run the Design Rule Check. Does it report

errors in the area of your QFP 80? If yes, it's clear why the Autorouter

can't connect. Please check the Design rule and Net class settings....

That was it.  Changed the routing grid and that fixed it.  Thanks!!!
