Panelizing boards for Manufacture (e.g. Olimex)

I am thinking of trying Olimex for new boards

as they throw in the soldermask and silk and

dont ask for tooling charge.

 

Their service looks good, and they can do

160mm x 100mm for very cheap costs.

 

I would like to submit a panel of two boards

100 x 80, using Eagle.

 

Is this possible to make two boards into one

.BRD file for panelizing ?

    I guessed that I would need to reduce size

    by some two mm in each direction - but

    your confirmation was necessary.

    You do't need to with Olimex - they do that for you. If you read their

    FAQ, you will see that you need to submit all your BRD files together with

    a small diagram showing how you'd like them panelised - in the case of one

    board duplicated or some similar simple layout, then I normally just write

    that in the readme.txt file that you have to send them. I've has dozens of

    boards done by them over the years like this.

     

    Do use their silk-screen checking ULP (on their web site).

     

    Note also that 2 x 80x100 board will NOT fit onto one 160x100 panel - you

    need a few mm between the board for the saw cut - 100x78 or 79 would be

    good. 100x80, not so good!
