Add command - drop button and tree

I pressed the ADD icon and searched for a DIL package. Obviously lots of

libraries got expanded in the library tree view.

1) How do you shrink the tree again back to normal short of pressing a

thousand image buttons on all the libraries tha tgot opened?

Also

2)On some package in the middle of a library I pressed the "DROP" button.

What did that do? Did I delete something from the library that was

selected? I didn't see the part "dropped" into my board layout which s what

I thought it might do. SOmething changed in the tree view when I did it.

Thanks for your reply(s). I was aware of the USE command and have already

made a library of my own.

I was working on the tutorial in the book so I had all the libraries in

use just for ease of looking around.

So the one question still remains. How do you shrink the tree back down

once it's been blown open by the search function.

On a similar track. It seems once I searched for something I have been

unable to get other libraries to show again i.e get back to the view of all

the libraries. Seems like only the library where the item was found is

    visible in the tree.

I have gone back and issued the USE command again but this seems a bit

excessive to do every time you search for something.
