re: which capacitors are surface-mount?

Is there some way to tell the difference between the surface mount

capacitors and the through-hole things in the library? I mean am I

missing something obvious?

basically, the packages are appended to the "C-" name of the device. SMD

packages are numbers like 1206 or 0603 while through hole ones have

dimensions like 060x050. also in the US we space things on 25mil or

50mil grids while everyone else uses metric grids, so you should pick a

package that fits the measurement system you are using.

if you scroll down in the library tree of the control panel, you can see

all the packages. clicking on one will bring up its information.
