drill data generation & update

When processing drill data in preperation to generate gerber outputs, I have

not yet found a way to automatically update the drill table in Options ->

Set -> Drill.   Clicking the "SET" button on the Drill table does

automatically extract drill sizes from the current project, but does not

sort them in increasing diameter (I would prefer it did).  But even if it

did sort them, it is still a manual process.  I can't even find a way to

execute that "SET" button command through a .ULP script.

Am I missing something?   Seems that matching the Drill Table

(options->set->drill) with the ULP-generated Drill Legend should be a

single-step process, right?

I'd be happy to update the drill-legend ULP to do this, but can't find any

ULP hooks to do it.

thanks,

..dane

I have spend the past several hours pouring over the drill legend ULP, and

believe I have fixed it so that it properly matches symbols to the drill

    table.

Linked below is what I consider to be 'release quality.'  I have run it

    through

several paces of testing and it seems to be working nicely.  I have also

submitted the updated file to the ULP folder on CadSoft's website.

Originally based on Christian Bohrer's older DRILEGEND.ULP v2.01 (from

2002), this updated version has the following changes:

    - Modified to no longer require sorting of, or removing unused drills from,

the EAGLE drill table (fround in >Options>Set>Drill).

    - Modified to notify the user if the EAGLE drill table is incomplete

(missing drill data); ULP will prompt the user to execute the Drill Set

command (>Options>Set>Drill>Set) and then re-run the ULP.

    - Modified Legend -> MM to default to off (0)

    - Modified Holes -> Non-Plated to default to LAST

    - Modified Holes -> Unit Precision to default to off (0)

    - Modified Outputs -> Generate Rack File default to on

    - Modified Outputs -> Generate Rack File now forced to same folder as board

    (.brd)

    - Modified Outputs -> Default Unit to INCH

    - Added "About" Tab

I hope others find these changes to be as useful as we do.

    cheers,

    ..dane
