Through hole pad definition

Former Member
Former Member over 16 years ago

Hi All,

In the wirepad through hole pad library the pads are described as 1,6/0,8

or 3,8/1,4 etc.

Is the meaning of these numbers defined?

Or even the capacitors lib has numbers. In this case it's easy to cross ref

to the capacitor type and see the hole spacing, diameter, etc.

Also, I did a library>use and selected a custom library. How do I get back

to having all the available libraries displayed again? Do I have to select

them one at a time?

Thanks,

Mac

Use the Control panel. Try right-clicking on "Libraries" and/or the

directories and libraries below it. Take note of the green/grey dot next to

each library. You can click on that to. I find the control panel is a very

    powerful interface to control projects.

    Thanks,

    Mac

Yes, thanks, I know how to select libraries for use one at a time from a

couple of different windows. I was looking for a way to say: "use them all"

to get back to the way it was when Eagle was installed.

As for the diameter and drill sizes...so is 1,6 metric speak for 1.6mm (US

speak)? (I wish the world would agree on decimal points or commas...  image )

Maybe the first answer was a bit unclear, but the procedure is correct.

When you right-click on 'libraries' in the control panel, you can

choose: "select all" or "select none". At least in 4.09.

And yes, 1,6 metric is 1.6 US. And yes, this can be (a little) annoying.

(the '.' at the numeric part of the keyboard is usually a decimal point

but sometimes a comma). But at least with Windows, the support for

regional settings is a lot better then it used to be.

Thanks for making it clearer Richard.
