Overlap error under IC

I have manually placed GND vias under the IC, but the DRC can't accept it,

showing Overlap error, like seen in the snapshot. Why?

Actually, the big square under the IC has no name, nor it is connected to
GND... I manually connected it using the VIAS. So I can leave it like
this, that will work, right?

It will work only if VIAS's name is GND (or whatever name is your gnd
signal).
Yes, they are. I named them to connect to the GND planes. So I'll just
ignore the DRC error.
