would someone mind running me through changing a font?

I would like to use a font I have that gives me numbers in circles.

I have discovered that putting 'change font <name of font> is supposed to alter the font but all I can find in the manual is on page 73 'CHANGE FONT alters the typeface.' and in the tutorial page 40 'CHANGE FONT or CHANGE SIZE changes the font or the text size.' I can't find anywhere that tells me how to do this?

If I put 'change font CombiNumber Ltd' in the line at the top of the screen (where it is supposed to go) it shows a box with the choice of fixed, proportional or vector and insists I choose one. Elsewhere I have found that these three default to one type face each but I cant find out how to change them.

I think the latest version 7.4 might allow customisation of fonts for

certain elements but in general, no, you can't do that. The "CHANGE

FONT" command is for selecting between fixed, proportional or vector.

Note that on the board you should ALWAYS use vector, because you're

going to end up exporting Gerber files and all fonts will be converted

to vector for that step anyway.

That's a shame. I really could have benefited from using numbers in circles to label components on my board.

The only other way I can think of doing it is with a number then put a circle round it.

    Thanks for the reply.

    use own library

    create a circle in symbol

    write centered : >Value

additional create same in package editor

    create device with boths

    switch VALUE ON

there's possible doing a automation by using  >Name   in the circle

then you must in device switch VALUE OFF and for PREFIX use . (dot) because the non required space

    Thank you for that Hans.

In fact since I wrote the thread I have gone through the circuit diagram I am copying from an old pen drawn circuit diagram and adding numbers in circles by using the circle command in the schematic page and then copying it alongside the original, moving one copy where I need it and then using text to make a number that I can put inside the circle, copying the circle again, moving it and putting another number inside. It looks right and is what I am wanting.
