*.brd file not updated

unebonnevie
unebonnevie over 15 years ago

hi,

I created a schematic.  Did the layout (NOT routing yet).  Then I change

the schematic, e.g., removing and adding components and connections,

etc. My *.brd file is NOT 100% updated even repeated save on the

schematic file.

Please advise.  Thanks

Also I did a lot of rat nets when I did the layout.  This is probably

why Eagle can't update the *.brd file when changes are made to the

    schematic?

brd and sch has to be open both at all time.

    Can this be a problem?

ratnest, saving and other playing around does no problem, as long as both

    are open always.

This problem can be hard to fix.

If board layout are not that big yet, then I would get rid of the board,

open the sch alone, and then start over again by making a new brd.

I had made sure that the *.sch and the *.brd files are always both open

at the same time.  (I had learned this lesson a long time ago image This

    is what confuses me.

Yeah, looks like I have to.

Could you have had two instances of Eagle open? One with the sch and one

    with the board.

Nope...just one instance.  I guess I have to re-do the *.brd file.
