IDF files and libraries

Hi support,

I'm currently testing the IDF export tool in Eagle 7.3.

I have some question concerning the component dimensions.

I know that I have to add a HEIGHT attribute for each component. But I

can't find which layer is used in the package to determine the width and

length of the component.

 

Any suggestions? Thanks!

    this is what I though.

    So if I Want a quite accurate PCB 3D model, I have to limit all useless

    wires and so on.

     

    My problem is that it also take all polygon, rectangles wires, in the

    Keepout layer. I don't think it is a good idea, because only the body

    (tPlace layer on maybe tDocu) and the pins should be in the IDF package

    don't you think?

    Hi Vincent,

     

    The most recent version of the ULP gives you the option to ignore

    features on the keepout layers if I recall correctly.
