Library Pad Grows when p laced on Board?

mprowe@peritonlane.net

Hi,

I have a home-brew device (a couple of slots). In the device manager it

looks like this:

Note that the solder mask along the wire is the same size as the pad

diameter (red & green arrows).

However, when imported into a board, the pads on the large slot change

size?

See red arrow. Both slots are constructed the same way

(2xpadMillTopBottomtStop+bStop)

Why?

Can it be prevented?

Regards, Martin

    Hi Martin

Thanks for accessing the forum via EagleCentral

Everyone is initially befuddled over pads that change their size between

    library and board editor.

Check out the answer in the FAQ pages on the CadSoft site

    Specifically

Ahhhhh.... Now, I see!! Or at least I think I do?

Can't quite grasp the objective or reasoning behind it yet, but maybe it'll

    come as I play?

Thank you all, particularly Warren for the link to the FAQs.

    Regards, Martin
