ulp status() that lasts after exit()

I'd like my ULP's to keep the status() message after exit, with a

natural timeout, so I can give soft feedback without any requester

blocking the UI.

 

Is there an option for this now? It seems like the status bar always

gets overwritten with an ulp "ULP finnished" message.

 

Suggestion to discuss:Maybe this finnished message can be skipped when

the ulp is launched from a hotkey or context menu?

  • Yes that's annoying when you can't see your final status() message. Maybe

    another way would be to have an option to disable the ULP finished message

    so final output message from the script itself remains until another action

    is performed?
