Air wire problems

autodeskguest

1.  When I run ratsnest it says I still have 11 air wires, but I can't see

them.  Is there any way to highlight them?  I assume they're little stubs

left over from my lame routing.

2.  In the attached image, what are those gray hatched circles at the top?

I assume they're related to vias I placed and later ripped up (they're in

the middle of a trace I've turned off to make them visible), but I can't

get them to go away, either with ripup or delete (which generates an

error).  How can I get rid of them?  I was going to ask about the odd air

wire going off to the right, but I fixed it.

Thanks

    Karl,

Rob, Morten, and Lorenz all had some very good ideas on how to find such

    air wires.

There is a different method, however, that seems to work best for me.

Perhaps it will suit you as well.

From the board editor, click Options -> Set -> Misc.  Set the catch

    factor to 0.

This allows you to start a route from anywhere on (or off) the board.

The nearest air wire will be picked up.  Moving the cursor around some

will allow one to identify the closest end of the nearest air wire.

Morten is correct in how to get rid of the DRC markers.  Getting rid of

the air wires, though, can only be done by routing each.

    HTH,

        - Chuck

Thanks, Chuck.  I don't have that option, though I'm on v4.16, so maybe it

came out later.  I keep thinking about upgrading, but this version seems to

do everything I need, so it gets pushed off.  Anyway, I was able to solve

my problem by turning off all layers except airwires.  I could find even

    tiny ones that way.
