Polygon problem/bug.

Dear Cadsoft team,

 

I created two polygons on the same layer. One covers the whole board and

has rank 1 and has thermals switched off.

The other polygon is smaller and has rank 2 and has thermals switched on.

 

The problem/bug is that the thermals on/off property is not taken into

account when checking the ranking of the two polygons. The thermals are

always switched off.

 

Could you fix this please?

    Rank 1 will fill over the Rank2. The Rank2 polygon won't even fill.

    Always make outer polygon higher rank. In fact I wonder why Eagle

    doesn't have an "auto rank" selection for this. Inner polygons with

    higher rank has no function at all.

    Indeed, same net inner polyons with lower rank get "masked" by the

    higher rank outer polygon. The thermal flag for the inner do get ignored

    in this case.

     

    I guess this is a special case. Ideally they should overlap with minimum

    overlap edge, like the wires used for fillings in a polygon.
