Unwanted vias automatically added

Look at the attached image set

 

1. I am coming in with a diff pair (purple) and I want to end up at the

vias.

 

2. I want to do a stop here and follow the yellow wire in to the via.

 

3. This is the peculiar result I get when I click here. Eagle usually

doesnt add vias automatically, so why does that happen? Not to mention,

why are they offset from the click point?

 

I suspect this issue is related to other weird via behaviour, like the

other threads with title "Grabbing airwires on routing" and "Change

layer issue" written by me.

    The generation of the vias will be correct but the placement of the lower

    added via needs an answer.

     

    From the HELP > ROUTE

     

    "If you route towards the wire end points of a Differential Pair in a

    different layer, and the wires are fully aligned, the proper vias will be

    generated automatically."

     

    So your hover/click aligned wire endpoints on a different layer, hence I

    would expect vias to be created. The via is placed to retain the clearance

    between the pairs so the upper one is placed correctly.The edge of the via

    aligns with the edge of its trace.

     

    The lower one normally would have gone vertically down but there may be

    another signal it is retaining its clearance from. If that's not the case

    then there is a problem.

     

    Attached - The red via is where it would normally go. Probably keeping away

    from the vertical blue signal.

    There is inconsistancy if diff wires add vias when it meets the same

    signal, when single end wires doesn't. I don't really care if its

    documented. I think it is wrong.

     

    At least I need a clear explanation why it has to be like that, but I

    don't think it exist. We have the shift+click function to add vias on

    single end routes, so why not use the same for diff pairs?
