Why is it that the ERC tool generates warnings for POWER pins that are
connected to SUPPLY pins?
I know I can approve them but I still find it odd since in my opinion
device's POWER pins are precisely intended to be connected to SUPPLY pins
but apparently Eagle has a different opinion in this respect.

I have been lucky too, but I did once end up with a regulator that was
not in use 
So maybe that could be part of the check.
But I have started to make output pins of any regulator or similar
device have "sup" direction on their output pins. This helps me
slightly, but I do get a lot of the op warning messages. I prefer those
messages over no warnings tho.
