How can I put a sch in a project?

I have a number of 'projects', all empty because I don't know how to put a

schematic into one.

The prompt on the screen says

 

Empty project

Use the context menu to create new schematic or board files within the

project

 

The only reference I can find to 'context' is the one on the help tab and

that is only a help page?

 

I also have a number schematic drawings that don't belong to a project for

the reason stated above, is it possible to move them into the projects I

made of the same name?

 

I don't see any reason for them to be in projects other than the neatness

of the filing but I suppose one day they will be useful.

    I am assuming that a project is just a directory where all the files

    associated with one job (or project) are kept?

    I have made directories for all my projects and moved the sch files into

    them (I also moved all the temp files with the suffix .s#1 .s#2 etc.

    The control panel only shows the .sch and not all the temp files (I have no

    board in that project but I suspect it would show a .brd if I did). (I made

    a new .brd in my test project and it did.)

     

    I now see that if I click on the button after the project and turn it green

    it puts the sch in that project, is this correct? it did with .brd .

     

    My list in the control panel still shows as

     

    eagle

        test             .    empty project

            test.sch

     

    Why does it still say 'empty project'?

     

    I have just answered my own question, I closed the control panel and

    reopened it and the 'empty project' has gone.

    Hi,

    if you"right-click" the project you can insert/edit the description of

    your "empty project".

     

    The .s#x files are backup files. Eagle shows only the actual files.
