Hope you don't mind me jumping in with a reply here...

Well, as you'll have seen, Eagle ships with a huge library of parts, however it doesn't cover everything.

You can also design your own libraries, and you can copy packages, devices and sumbols from one library to another.

Many users also like to contribute their own libraries to the Eagle community, and you can find many of these if you go to www.cadsoftusa.com then click on downloads, and then libraries.

If the exact device you need is not in one of the shipped libraries, or one of the user libraries, then spend a moment using google to see if anyone else has drawn your parts and made the library available, if that fails then you can draw it yourself in the library editor.

Don't go re-inventing the wheel - copy a package and possibly a symbol from an existing library and add it to a new library of your own, then edit it to suit.

As a general rule, don't add new devices to the shipped libraries as you may loose your changes at the next upgrade if you overwrite the editied library.

Finally, if you do deisgn your own library and verify that it is correct, please consider uploading it to the cadsoft website so others can use it too!

I hope you find this information useful.
