    Hi Richard,
    I am trying to create the "package" of a component to a library and I wish to focus my footprint on the origin, for that I would then use the Group and Move command in command line.
    Can you tell me how to move a group with the Move command to specify coordinate, I tried this but ac does not work:
    GROUP ALL;
    MOVE (> -7.5 -8.4);
    Best regard,
    Arnauld

    Thanks Richard,

    I actually figured out how to make a separate job with the mill layer, but your suggstion to add a tab to the existing job (cam) file made it that much better.  Thanks again.

    Hi,

    currently I do not know the prices for 1-year licenses, but I know that these licenses are not (yet) available in the Farnell/Newark catalogues. Please contact our CadSoft sales people for details.

    Hi,

    the CAM job does not contain a section that generates data about milling contours. Which layer did you use to draw the milling contours, is it 46, Milling?  Simply add a further section in the CAM job, select layer 46, use Gerber_RS274X device and select a file extension for the milling file, for example  .mil.

    Then run the job again. For details about howto create/modify CAM jobs, please take a look into our EAGLE manual (chapter 9).

    Regards,

    Richard

    There's a banner up top there saying Eagle is available on an annual license arrangement - I can't find any purchasing options for that on farnell, what options are there and what are the prices?  Thanks

    Hey Richard,

    I recently finished a board design and created gerber files with the holp of the Spark Fun Electronics sfe-special.cam file.  However, none of my milling specs. showed up on any of the output files (at least not the ones the board house requested in the upload).  Is it me?  Or is the sfe-special file not include milling slots? If not, do you know of a cam file that will include the milling specs. in the drill output (drd? file I think?).

    Hi Kudlak,

    you tried:

    start "C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.11.0\bin\eaglecon"  -X -gerber_rs274x  -opokus.gbr singlesided.brd via pad top

    Could it be the - before gerber_rs274x? Please try

    start "C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.11.0\bin\eaglecon" -X gerber_rs274x  -opokus.gbr singlesided.brd via pad top

    What is the error message reported?

    Regards,
    Richard

    Hi Kevin,

    don't you have a datasheet of the component? There you should find infomation about the package as well. There are some QFN20 packages in the libraries but they are 3.5 x 4.5 (R-PQFP-N20, texas.lbr) or 5x5x0.75mm (maxim.lbr). You could also take a look at cadsoft.de/download.htm into the libraries directory. There is  silabs-eth.lbr   but I did not the content how this qfn looks like.

    Regards,

    Richard
