hmm hi again,

Ima trying to run CAM Job from batch file (resp. cmd) but dont have luck. For example I have singlesided.brd and i wann generate pokus.gbr with device as gerber_rs274x and layer pad via top... I write somethink like this:

start "C:\Program Files\EAGLE-5.11.0\bin\eaglecon"  -X -gerber_rs274x  -opokus.gbr singlesided.brd via pad top, where i do mistake anybody help :-( 

I think this is going to show how green I am but I am in need of a generic part for a 3 x 3 x 0.55 mm 20-pin QFN package. I am not sure of how accurately I can make this part from scratch.  Never tried to make a part before. I contacted the manufacture of this chip and they sent me a "PADS-LIBRARY-PCB-DECAL" file. I am not sure of what software this file is from but it looks like an ASCII based part file? Anyway to convert this? Any tip or links to a generic part lib?

the designlink interface/ULP does not support  other vendors, but of course you can define your own attributes for a component and add further infomation. Let's say you use the ATTRIBUTE command and define an attribute named INFORMATION for the component you can add further details and don't have to use the value for it. With the help of one of the bom.ulps you can export this information into your bill of material. Take bom_with_attributes.ulp from the CadSoft download, for example.

Hi, I am new to using the designlink, and i absolutley love it.

However i do have a question:

If the part i use cannot be found on farnell, how can i add other vendor product code in an attribute? i dont want to use the value field as it is too small snd should contain only the value...

Hi Richard,   I want to connect two pads together with a trace on both layer 1 and layer 16.   I connect them together on the schematic, which leads to a single airwire on the layout.  Once I have connected that airwire - how do I make the other connection?  I would rather not do it "manually" because I am connecting many pads together this way.   Its for a general purpose prototype board.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Windows 7 has more restrictions and in my opinion obstacles in user rights management than the Windows systems before. I am pretty sure that something on your system concerning user rights has changed. What you could try is to start EAGLE in Administrator mode. Therefore do a right mouse click onto the EAGLE icon and select "Run in administrator mode" or something like this from the context menu. Does it work as expected now?

I don't see any problems here. All the ULPs should run in the new EAGLE version.

There are some slight changes in the EAGLE Script language which might cause an error in executing a script.... What you could do is to try your ULPs with our Freeware first.

But I don't see serious problems....

Hi Dan,

it is possible to have the libraries for example on a publicly available server directory. So everybody has access to the libraries. But think about library management. It would be a problem if everybody has write access to them. So it could happen that two ore more people edit the same library.... The one who saves the library last will win..... the work of his colleagues will be overwritten and lost.

So it would be good to have only one user who has write access to the lbr folder. He can manage libraries and add new components and so on......
