Eagle Mac OS 7.5.0 - Open multiple schematics

Hello,

How can I open multiple schematic and board files in eagle on MAC OS?

Currently when I open one schematic for one project, and attempt to open another, the first one is being closed automatically so I cant compare them side by side.

I dont have this problem on Windows? Or am I doing something wrong?

HI,

you can open only one pair of schematic and board. And one library file and a "unlimited" number of text editor files within one EAGLE instance. As far as I know MAC OS does not allow two instances of one application at the same time by default.

Searching in the web gave a solution for this (with Textedit.app as example):

If you use open from the command line you can pass a parameter to start a new instance:

open -n /Applications/TextEdit.app

Another way is to find the Unix executable in the app bundle and run it:

/Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit &
