Can anyone tell me how to prevent a bus from auto-numbering when copying a circuit?

Thanks,

DeWayne

    Hi,

how do you copy the bus and which EAGLE version do you use? Do you copy only the bus line or do you copy the nets as well?

If I use, for example,  GROOP/CUT/PASTE for copying a bus it is not renames but keeps its name.

    Regards,
    Richard

    I'm using 5.1.

I copy everything since I want a duplicate circuit. I group-->copy-->paste and then my SCL net becomes SCL1. I would think that if you CUT it would keep the same everything since it isn't being duplicated.

    Thanks,

    DeWayne

I found the solution. If you label the net then it won't auto number for any copies that are done.

    Hi again,

you are right. A label prevents renaming nets and busses.

    Regards,

    Richard
