Bom Export

allycat
allycat over 7 years ago

Every thing exports into the excel file but the part number of the part.   For some reason excel wont except it.  It is not importing the row and leaving an error message.   I can get the part number from library reference but I would like to know what am I doing wrong.

I might be able to help with this one:  on the left of the BOM configuration window there are lists of 'grouped columns' and 'all columns'.  You'll need to find the field that contains the part number and check that the 'show' box is ticked.  You can drag the field name from 'all columns' to 'grouped columns' if you want to group components with the same part numbers.

    I hope that helps.

You can create a Excel Template File so you can create automatically with some klicks a complete BOM. But before you create the BOM you must create a Component Library. Every element in my library get some parameter like this:

    • Addition 1
    • Addition 2
    • Addition 3
    • Addition 4
    • Addition 5
    • Alternative allowed
    • Checked by
    • Manufacturer
    • Manufacturer Part Number
    • Mounting Type
    • Package
    • ROHS
    • Status
    • Supplier 1
    • Supplier 2
    • Supplier 3
    • Supplier Part Number 1
    • Supplier Part Number 2
    • Supplier Part Number 3
    • Type
    • Version

One example for a Capacitor :

    Name                               Value

    Addition 1                        10pF

    Addition 2                        ±5%

    Addition 3                        50V

    Addition 4                        C0G

    Addition 5                        Surface Mount

    Alternative allowed          No

    Manufacturer                  Kemet

    Manufacturer Part Number    C0603C100J5GACTU

    Mounting Type              Surface Mount

    Package                        0603 (Case-EIA)

    ROHS                             ROHS Compliant

    Supplier 1                        Digi-Key

    Supplier 2                        Digi-Key

    Supplier 3                        Mouser

    Supplier Part Number 1    399-1049-1-ND

    Supplier Part Number 2    399-1049-2-ND

    Supplier Part Number 3    80-C0603C100J5G

    Temperature Coefficient    C0G

    Tolerance                        ±5%

    Type                             SMD Ceramic Capacitor

    Value                             10pF

    Voltage Rated              50V

    Hi Michael

I believe I have done this already.   Manufacturer works fine.   Do you have to uses the word Manufacturer Part Number?  I have not add most of what you did for your parts either, but I am not really interested in using that info on my BOM right now.
