removal of an VIA

Hello,

I am new to Circuit studio. have followed al tutos there are on Youtube.

I have created a small schematic and a pcb layout. one thing I can not get working; and can not find it on the tutors; is how to route from bottom to top layer with an via. have no clue at all.

By accident, I place an Via solely. two of them, actually. I can not find a way to remove those two VIA's. they are shown if you hover above the VIA, but can not right click or select them to get them removed. pff.

another thing is that I can not pan the window. there is a kind of automatic pan that drives me crayzy. when routing or moving components the window is all over the place.

Normaly I pan in my CAD and Eagle with the button above my mousewheel. that works great. not here. also, there are no sliders in the screen for left and right movement.

I use Eagle professional for over 6 years now; business wise. So designing is my major business. I need to move to a program that can output 3D and STL files, so thought Circuit studio is a good choice.

hope you can help.

Is there maybe on the support desk someone that can help  me in my native language?

kind regards,

rob

    Hello Peter,

    Thanks for the reply.

I could manage to open a new library, and update, but have no clue what I am dooing. Why would I have to open a new library?  For me all is so fuzzy. btw, the component is not updated.

Took me half an hour to find the way to place a VIA. pfff. Why is that made so difficult? Why not under the right mouse button to change layer while routing?

Peter, I will put the software aside for some time; I am a bit frustrated. Need someone who can sit next to me and guide me a few hours. That would help.

btw, autopanning can not be switched off in the schematic capture. at least, I cant find it. In the PCB it can be switched off.

    regards,

    rob

There are many options available whilst routing - use F1 to see a list of shortcuts to use - the right mouse button is used to end the current action. CircuitStudio is certainly one of the easiest PCB design tools IMHO but if you are a die-hard Eagle user then perhaps the latest version of that would be more suitable as it is more likely to fit into the workflow and concepts you are used to.

    Hello Peter,

I had a look at the new version of Eagle, but they have made the libraries so strange; you have to save locally, sync, upload, sync save sync, and so on if you use the online library.

Altium is probably the way for me, butI need somehands on, I guess. thats why I asked for any ducht user group or loca training here in the Netherlands.

well be in touch. I will order from Farnell the licence.

    regards,

    rob

I do not know of any user groups in your area. However try creating a new topic on the forum asking if anyone local to you is willing to meet up.
