CS problems

Hi

I'm new user of CS and have the following problems:

1. On PCB layout, when i draw a track, i want a hot key to change layer and to place automatically a VIA. Within CS i couldn't find a such key (or shortcut).

2. If i press accidentally the "Windows Start" key (which lies exactly next to the CTRL key which is used very often) the CS gets stuck in truck drawing. The only way to escape, is a forced termination of CS from Windows, and everything that has designed so far will be lost.

3. I have troubles with copper pour (polygon pour). I try to apply a GND plane on bottom layer, but except the GND net and all other bottom tracks are merged within the copper pour area.

Thanks for any help.

    1)

You can view some useful shortcuts like this under menu option View Tab > Shortcuts

There is also online documentation such as this:

Interactive Routing | Online Documentation for Altium Products

In short, you can use the plus or minus keys or shift + ctrl + mouse wheel.

    2) What is truck drawing?

    3) Polygon pour options > Net Options > Pour over all same net objects

    Track not truck.

    Truck is a vehicle.

"Track Drawing" is a different expression of "Routing a Connection".

BTW, in my old PCB software, by pressing only TAB, both at once: change layer + VIA.

For multilayer PCBs with mouse Right Click, you can select any of the middle layers.

    Thanks a lot
