Supplier links scam

I have by default installed the farnell group supplier extention and manually added the RS one. But when I am adding a supplier link to a part the RS one never pops up. I just looked for a capacitor only sold by RS, nothing came up from RS but like on the farnell website a supposed match from farnell came up that is not what I asked for being 6800uF 6.3V but 2200uF 10V which is completely different and incompatible with the design.

 

Could element 14 take the damn sales people out and replace them with engineers ? I will no longer be using the supplier links as they are clearly a waste of time and bordering on a scam. I will instead add my own BOM fields and by the way my first choice will be RS because their website is faster than the 486 server farnell is running on!

  • Hello Simon, supplier search currently has a small issue, as you've noticed. Recently several sites have changed their data format making it difficult for CircuitStudio to scan their parts. In the mean time we suggest to use the Octopart BOM tool. Its free and works great! all you need to do is upload a csv file. We know of this issue and plan on resolving it.
