IDs to use when Flashing Firmware

kingstu

The section on flashing firmware in the Motorola Developer Tools mentions <ids> but doesn't give any information about the format of the ids.

Examples are shown below:

$ adb push upd-<ids>.tftf /sdcard/Download/

$ openocd -f board/moto_mdk_muc_reset.cfg -c "program upd-<ids>.tftf 0x08008000 reset exit"

Are the <ids> the VID/PID and if so what is the sample format that they look like. Explaining that would be helpful as it isn't clear from the documentation.

    The generated file is actually nuttx.tftf, which you'll find in the nuttx/nuttx directory after you build.  That's the file you need to flash, either with the openocd tools or with MDKUtility.  Personally, I'm a big fan of dropping the firmware in a Google Drive folder, then flashing it with MDKUtility directly from there.

    i've updated the developer portal to clarify that point, thank you!

    FYI, if you build the developer bootloader, the default name is boot_hdk.bin.
