19P2 Clock issues

I am trying to use the reference moto mod clock from 19P2, but looking at it on the scope, I cannot see anything.

I have some 30AWG wire running about 1" to my device, do you think that would cause clock issues?

Is there anything special about the clock driver I should know?

To answer the first question.. Yes. B1 is ON.

Hi Robert,

The 19.2MHz clock requires the high speed bridge to be enabled, so try flashing your MDK with a project that enables it (like hdk/muc/display). Don't forget to flash the developer bootloader via MDK utility and changing the VID of the project to 0x42 first. Also, I set my A1 and A2 dip switches to "On, Off" to enable the high speed bridge and set B1 to on as you have already noted. Under this configuration, I was able to see the 19.2MHz clock on a scope.

I'll check it out on the scope today. My A2 switch broke and basically floats back and forth. I hope I can get it to stay, otherwise I might try reference Moto Mod surgery.

If you look at the schematic (page 19), you'll see the 19.2MHz is enabled by the High Speed bridge in the MDK (MHB_PWROFF_N). If you aren't actually using the Bridge, you should be able to hold it in reset (MHB_RST_N) to prevent any potential interference.
