    Dear sir/madam

I was wondering if you could help me please,  i have a faulty capacitor ( 35v_1000uf_85c_9x29mm) this is all i says on it.

I have replaced it with an exact same cap only different in size.

It did work but only when i switched it to power off ( standby) that it blown.

I was wondering if you could help me to understand why it happened and also what are my alternate replacements.

    Thank you

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Could you please give me more details on your issue? What circuit design ? What kind of ripple current?

    These are the alternatives:

    ECA1VM102B    A-M / 35V / 1000uF / 12.5x20mm / 85°C / 2000h / ripple 900mArms / F 5mm / Ammo

    ECA1VHG102B  A-NHG / 35V / 1000uF / 12.5x20mm / 105°C / 2000h / ripple 810mArms / F 5mm / Ammo

But please give me more details on your issue, so we could help you!

    Have a nice sunny day,

    Simone

Are you sure that your circuit doesn't have some other fault which is blowing the capacitor - what is it's function in the circuit ?

    Hi Michael,

we assume its an issue of the ESR, please use low ESR capacitor so you receive an high ripple current.

    Hope this works,

    Simone
