Temperature increase is a natural behavior of electricity. Each component has a resistance and each resistance release heat with current.

This is of course the case for connectors and PCB traces. A designer needs to choose his connector and traces cross section to have as less heat as possible. But not oversize them for a question of space and cost. Arrhenius law says that increasing of 10°C the temperature of a PCB roughly divides by 2 the life span of electronic components.

Easy to understand that the lowest is the best !

The video shows the exact same trace cross section, connector, wire size and current (in serie). The real duration is 11minutes. But on each type of sample, the configuration is different. It is fully obvious that each configuration release heat in a different way.

Add ground layer, thermal vias, tin on traces or thermal management stickers will have a very big impact on the temperature.

And so easily increase your products life span !

    I assumed the "x64" in the video title indicated that it was sped up 64 times (rather than it being a 64-bit video) and that "11mn" in the text meant 11 minutes.

    There might be an issue with the playback speed. It plays in 10 second from beginning to end.

    A little more detail might be useful. It's possible to see that the samples are different, but not to see which designs performed well.
