An update on Raspberry Pi orders for Brazilian customers

Hello,

We saw quite a lot of feedback today regarding some of our Brazilian members not having an option to order from the website. We've received an update from the team and wanted to share with all of you. We hope this clears up any confusion for our members.

We're working really hard to get Raspberry Pi boards into the Brazilian market. We anticipate having these boards available on our Brazilian website in the very near future. Check back on the Community for updates on when our Brazilian members can start placing their orders.

Hi Nicole,

I just received the email informing about the pre-order of Raspberry Pi but I can place the order because there is no Brazil option in the country list.

Could you update me and others about the solution to this problem? And when will I be able to order?

Hi Nicole,

Thank you very much for taking the time to investigate the issue and answering our posts. Unfortunately, after two "answers" and a "blog post," we are still left with no information.

I'm really sorry to say that the sentence "the team here is still working very hard to get the Raspberry Pi available in Brazil" means nothing for us and everyone else that is not part of "the team."

May I help you on helping us? Perhaps you could provide us any information on *why* it is not possible to just change the pre-order form and add "Brazil" to the list of the countries:

1. Is it because of brazilian customs and regulations?

2. Is it because you have agreements with the local distributor in Brazil that forbid you from shipping from the UK?

3. Any other reasons?
