Today element14 is launching the availability of the new Raspberry Pi 2 Model B Board with a live press conference at the Shard Hotel in London. The press conference, which will be hosted by Eben Upton, CEO of Pi Trading and Claire Doyle, Global Head of Raspberry Pi at element14, will be streamed live on element14. The Raspberry Pi 2 marks a major modification for the credit card-sized computer, with a new Broadcom BCM2836 ARMv7 Quad Core Processor running at 900MHz with 1GB of RAM. All previous Raspberry Pi projects are compatible with the new Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, and the expanded GPIO pins, advanced power management and connectivity, make it possible to power up to four USB accessories such as a 2.5 inch hard drive.
