Seems a few folks are having an issue logging into the PI B / B+ using SSH and may be following misleading instructions so I just compiled a set of screen shots showing the process for mine, this has not had anything specific to enable SSH, so it should work with any new install using the Debean (Raspbian) distro
Step one, load "Putty", if you don't have it then google putty, download it and install
now enter the IP address of the PI, you should be able to find this out from your house router, this is my record:
raspberrypi | 192.168.1.229 | xx:xx:xx:xx:23:98 | 1 day 00:00:00 |
or enter the name "raspberrypi" , either should work,
now you may get a security warning,
simply accept it by clicking "Yes"
now you should have a login prompt, enter "pi" as the user name (Without the quotes and all lower case)
press enter then when prompted for the password enter "raspberry" without the quotes again and press enter, you should now have a nice login welcome screen
now go do what you want to do , your in
Hope this helps people

Peter
