MPIDE for raspbian

Hello,

The chipkit_pi package already built is not fine for me because I can't extend the partitions like with the standard raspian image:2013-09-25-wheezy-raspbian.img.

So I would like to install first the original raspian image 2013-09-25-wheezy-raspbian.img and then download the MPIDE software on the raspberry pi in order to be able using the chipkit-pi board

How can I proceed ?

Thanks a lot

I made also a lot of research on the Web last veek and I got the same steps that yours

The only minor differences are the following:

1/ Change execution rights on PIC32 directory
```
chmod +x -R ./pic32
```
2/ Add user pi in the dialout group
```
sudo usermod -aG dialout pi
```
3/ Modify directly /boot/cmdline.txt and /etc/inittab instead installing and using rpi-serial-console
```
dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=tty1 root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline rootwait
```
```
#T0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyAMA0 115200 vt100
```

Hi Eric,

I went through the exercise of doing exactly this. I posted a procedure at:

So got it working now and can run the example code supplied with MPIDE (at least the (modified) Blinking example code)
