Raspberry Pi boot

Hi, Ive just bought a new Raspberry Pi RevB and Im wondering if it is possible to boot it from a USB flash drive instead of an SD card.

If its possible could someone elaborate on how to set the Pi to boot like that please.

You can load the OS from the USB stick, but you still need a SD card with a boot loader on it. In the case of Linux that would mean have the /boot partition (it's the 58Mb partition formated with FAT) still on the SD card - everything else goes on USB.

Omar,
The RPi can't boot from USB. It only boots from the SD Card.
Once it is booted, however, you can mount your root file system
on a USB flash drive, which will probably speed things up.

If booting from USB is important to you, consider a Beaglebone Black.
