setting values for accelerometer

Can anyone tell me how to set the values of a GY-61 ADXL335 accelerometer using a Raspberry Pi 2B? I am using it for a surveillance project to detect an accident and I need the values to be constant when the accelerometer is not moving. Please help. It's very urgent.

    Never mind, you can do that next time.

     

    The accelerometer you have chosen doesn't have any internal registers you can set so you'll have to do all the compensation/calibration in your RPi app.

     

    How are you getting the analogue data from the chip into your PI ?

     

    Can you post some sample data from the setup, then turn it upside down and get some more data so you can see if gravity is affecting the accelerometer as it should.
