For those in/near London from next month to mid-July (1st April - 19th July 2015), or even if you're not local, it might be of interest that the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum) has an exhibition called All of This Belongs to You which is designed to provoke the discussion of what public buildings such as museums mean any more, given that many people have moved to an online existence for some of their needs (perhaps exemplified best by libraries which seem to be closing all over the country).
Anyway, the exhibition is to be split into some themes such as "Ways to be Public" and "Ways to be Secret"; the Raspberry Pi using Tor being an example for the latter.
Snowden's laptop is present too:
If you would like/need non-technical reasons to see the V&A too (I really hope you do) then there is an Alexander McQueen exhibition there too, called
Savage Beauty (running from now till 2nd August) or a shoes exhibition from mid-June.
