  • I would use it with my model train layout, either to control the DCC bus (in place of a WIndows laptop), or I would use it as an LCC (Layout Command Control) system to run signals, points, lighting, and sounds.

  • Id love to make a portable DAW. I have a hifiberry from and old project lying around. Id use Ardour or Reaper. I also want to get into openframeworks to try build an audio reactive video synth. A mix of both would be awesome.

  • I live in Montana and in the summer and sometimes past summer, there is more mosquitos and other assorted annoying bugs. I have had an idea in my head for some time now about making a "bug zapper" of sorts. I haven't had the money or much time to peruse it as of now, but the pi 5 would be more than half the battle! So essentially my project will be to turn the pi 5 into a "surface to air missile" but for mosquitos and no missile, just a laser. I'd call it the N0/Pi-Zon3

    I would host a game server on it preferable minecraft but would test the rpi 5 using ark survival evolved server. also use it for an website for myself to test my skils

  • I'd turn it into a Home Security System, complete with cameras and motion sensors, all managed with MotionEyeOS. Then, I'd amp up my network security with an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) like Suricata, keeping an eye on network traffic for any shady business. And of course, I'd create my own secure little world by setting up a private VPN Server, making sure my internet connection is always encrypted and safe.
