In last years I used most time used Raspberry Pi for some kind of long-term automation. For example, last few months two of my Raspberry Pies was running experiments (one Rpi 4B and one 3B+) to evaluate…

I already have a Raspberry Pi Zero; I tried desktop on it, but Zero doesn't have processing power, which is why I need a Raspberry Pi 5.

I would probably set this up as a server to receive weather information, and display it on a smart mirror. It would get weather info from the home built station in my backyard.

I would use the Raspberry Pi 5 to run Boinc or Dreamlab's climate projects and medical projects to help make the world a better place for everyone. Both Boinc and Dreamlab are volunteer projects and they are awesome. They provide scientists the much needed processing power to process large quantity of data which might require super computers to process quickly but through distributed computing like Boinc and Dreamlab the work is divided into parts and sent to several thousands of people to get the job done quickly.Everyone if possible should give it a try by providing a bit of their processing power towards these projects with their laptop/desktop/mobile.Setting up your device is pretty much straight forward and there are forums to guide you through if you face any issues.Even Rasberry pi's with their limited processing power will help a lot.
