In last years I used most time used Raspberry Pi for some kind of long-term automation. For example, last few months two of my Raspberry Pies was running experiments (one Rpi 4B and one 3B+) to evaluate…

I already have a Raspberry Pi Zero; I tried desktop on it, but Zero doesn't have processing power, which is why I need a Raspberry Pi 5.

I would probably set this up as a server to receive weather information, and display it on a smart mirror. It would get weather info from the home built station in my backyard.

I've used rpis for controlling everything from my 3d printers to running as entertainment servers and have one dedicated as my network filter.  I also tried using these for specific video processing with color correction but had no luck.  I'm hoping this new design allows for color correction for video recording purposes.

I would use a Raspberry Pi 5 in my blogging studio where I also do some assembly and testing of projects. That workspace needs a small computer capable of accessing the Internet for blogging information support (looking stuff up on the internet), accessing local project documentation, creating blog text and project notes, running tests and acquiring test data, displaying background info and graphics during blog video capture (on a big HDMI screen). It would also be used for local image editing and to transfer video to my video editor over my local network. During assembly operations it would be used to display schematics and PCB layouts, check component datasheets, calculate component values and display wiring diagrams. It might even be pressed into service capturing B-roll video during blog capture. For some blogs it would be used as to display interactive presentation material. If I ever get around to automating my bench instrumentation, it would be involved in that as well. In short it would be used as a general multi-roll workhorse computer with a key requirement that it have a small physical footprint. The Pi 4 can do some of these things, but clearly the Pi 5 is going to be better at all of them.

Just got in to automation and got all my money spend up on course fees, and to start learning automation I really need to get a raspberry pi , and as I said no money with me now. I don't need the latest one even getting a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4gb or 8gb Ram model is enough for me. thanks just wishing to say this, hope the comment mod team founds this comment of mine
