suggestion on roadtest of RaspberryPi4 and PoE hat

Hi Guys,

 

I am doing the following roadtest. Could you give me more ideas what can I do to make a good roadtest?

 

I have tried Motioneye OS. I could try something else as well.

  • The best thing also is that I can jsut power it up with PoE hat and provide wpa_supplicant.conf for WiFi, hence I do not necessarily need router around the RaspberryPi. Isn't it?

    Hi Ujjval,

     

    There was a long discussion on the RoadTest page when this RT was launched.

    Here's a diagram of some example applications that came out of the discussions there. If you want to, you could investigate these, to see what the benefits were/are, or (hopefully) it gives you new ideas.

    I'm  bit miffed at your response. Your intent may be honorable but it undermines the RoadTest process. It could be argued that the assistance you offered could have been given to an application that was not awarded the review.

     

    I feel, the question post and the response should have been done while the RoadTest was open and not after the reviews have been awarded. I'm not part of the RoadTest committee and didn't feel it appropriate to provide that direction. There has been discussion around why people don't apply for RoadTests. It is important people are supported in the process but that support has to be tempered with discretion.

     

    Here we have a selected candidate soliciting help in what they review. Shouldn't this be handled through the application process? What about the individuals that submitted an application with clearly defined objectives? I think they would will welcome the opportunity to participate, especially if you tell them what they could look at.

     

    I appreciate this individual may be a new to the process and they may need some guidance. That guidance needs to be provided with discretion.

     

    I'm not the only person who's ire was raised by the initial post. My response was to refer the candidate to their application. I'm in a favorable position because my application was selected for this RoadTest. I do feel any directions that change the course of what the candidate submitted in their application waters down the process.

    Sean you are right but he hasn't really given much away that wasn't  in the Road Test already
