clockOS | Raspberry Pi Smart Clock

Hi, I want to develop clockOS but I need help, suggestions, and contributors. This project is C based.

clockOS is an app, os, linux distro (to be defined) that runs on a Raspberry Pi 2 with an Adafruit PiTFT Plus 480x320 3.5" TFT+Touchscreen and converts it into a smart clock.

Programming language is C. Base OS for this project hasn't been defined yet.

Yes, I already did, but I am not sure how to start and what UI framework should I use, I am thinking about using Qt. I am not really experienced in linux development, normally I do iOS in Swift or Objective-C or Pebble in C.
