I think the next about ports:

- There is a discussion about hdmi/vga. I think VGA port is interesting, because there are a lot of old monitors (and smalls) where maybe we would like to connect the RPi. In my case, for example, I will use RPi using VNC, but at the beggining I need to connect it to a display. However, I think that RCA out is less useful.

- I think that RJ45 port is suppresible, because we can use and usb-wifi deive or a usb-lan card (like this http://www.ebay.es/itm/Ethernet-External-USB-to-Lan-RJ45-Network-Card-Adapter-10-100-Mbps-for-Laptop-PC-/270926546529?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f147b0661)

I suppose that these ideas can be interesting for future versions of RPi.

Adding VGA is more difficult than you think This involves some high-frequency analog electronics that simply isn't there.

(Video out is 14MHz analog stuff. VGA out has to be about 250MHz according to modern standards.)

Remember that this is more or less just a "breakout board" for an existing chip. The reason it can be so cheap is that there are not so many components on the board.

There are USB VGA adaptors available starting around $30.

VGA is not a trivial item to add. It's all analog, and the chips to do it aren't cheap. It could potentially double the cost of the board.

HDMI/DVI/Composite are all integrated into the system-on-a-chip, so that's basically free - all that was needed to support it was basically the plugs.
