Element 14 Raspberry Pi bundles/accessory pack

The Element 14 bundles/accessory pack for the Raspberry Pi seem a little strange to me. The wi-fi dongle seems useful, but no doubt all of them could be easily purchased separately elsewhere (or indeed individually at Farnell/Element 14). However, my main concern is the a very obvious item that most users would need, namely a case, *isn't* in the bundles/accessory pack at all.

It seems to me that the big aftermarket accessory for the RP would be a case, since its probably going to have be custom designed for the positions of the ports, so nothing obvious exists right now that could act as an RP case. Like all accessories for the RP, it would have to be pretty cheap too.

    Matty,

CPC offer two different bundles to try and address the issues detailed above.  For the technogeek who has most of the required accessories knocking about from previous projects / dead phones etc we offer the Starter Kit which is fairly bare bones but contains the Pi, a microUSB PSU, a case and an SD Card with Raspbian pre-installed...

For someone who just wants to get started from scratch then we offer the PlugNPlay Kit which contains the Pi, a USB mouse, USB mini keyboard, USB hub, microUSB power supply, HDMI lead and a Wifi dongle.

We deliberated long and hard about adding a case but we thought that the choice of crust for your Pi was a personal choice, so we would let customers choose whichever one they preferred from the range of cases we offer
