7 years later i'm getting my first Pi and joining the onward march of technology. i was wondering how you made out with your case design and if your case is possible to stack a cooling fan and a 2.4 inch touch screen inside it at the same time.

i'm going to wait for your reply so that i have an idea of where next to look in my search for a suitable case design for my projects

You may want to check shabaz' post: An Industrial Enclosure for Raspberry Pi

It includes a proposal for up to two fans. The touch screen will be a challenge.

Thanks Jan for the reply. i first have to set up my Raspberry Pi and then i will look further into case designs for the set up that i want.

right now i have ordered a 1 to 2 GPIO 40 pin adapter that i'm hoping will allow me to run the fan at the same time as i use the (or any) screen. having a fan and screen working at the same time seems like an equal challenge as finding the proper case height

it's going to be a bit of trail and error to get the screen to work at the same time as the fan using the adapter but once i get that set up my next step (or while i wait for the adapter to arrive) is to get dual output from both my screen and an external monitor.

i'm in no rush but my Pi is a very small part in the project that i want to work on.

back in February and March 2019 i got 2 microchip implants put into my hand. one is an RFID chip and the other chip is a bit more advanced. so at current i have been able to bypass the start button on my motorcycle and use the RFID implant to start my motorcycle. i'm currently waiting for a few extra dollars ($270USD+ shipping to Canada) to purchase a keyless ignition switch to install into my bike and replace the ignition so that the key will only be needed to unlock the steering and the gas cap. once i have the ignition upgraded the last thing i want to do is install an alarm that will automatically arm and disarm whenever i'm 30 or less feet away.

my Raspberry Pi will be used mainly to scan the different systems on my bike and assist with the cloning of the RFID tags supplied from the manufacturers of the different systems. i have only had my Pi 2 weeks now and am slowly building it up so that it can become self powered and portable scanner and part of my total system.

once i have my motorcycle set up then i can then turn my focus on the "other" implant chip and see what capabilities it has to offer as it's a NFC type chip with read and write abaility
