JennyPeters is doing a great job answering questions on the RPi.org forum.

Please invite her to participate in this forum.  Despite #helpme tags, we are

getting very few authoritative answers here.

  • Hi Coder27!  Got a message from one of my colleagues to come over and say hello! There is a fantastic community team here led by Nicole managing the answers and keeping the news all up to date - and we have others answering on social media and so i've been trying to cover the RPi forum to help out with the workload! We're getting a lot of questions,comments and input from all over the world. As you'll have seen delivery updates being sent to everyone over the next few days so hope yours contains good news! image You really can't go wrong if you stay here with element14 - they have some great information and updates coming soon. best wished

    No need to sell us on the qualities of the  Element 14 forum and the good work the admins are doing.  We know it, and it contrasts vividly with ... well, let's just say, some other place. image

    I appreciated your posts on the forum Jenny and they put a lot of silly speculation to rest. There have been good timely updates here as well but most of the Pi community isn't here and going out to where the bulk of customers were gathered was a great move.

       It's great you stopped by to say hello.

    I'm hoping you will stay around to answer some questions,

    because you are batting 1000 with your predictions so far,

    which is far better than anyone else in any forum.

     

    I would be delighted if you would tell us what you can about

    the story of the "missing 8000".   We have heard all sorts of

    surreal speculation about ships lost at sea, sherpas in the

    Himalayas, misplaced DHL tracking numbers, etc., but it would

    be really nice to know the actual story about how they turned up.

     

    If they have any differences from the original 2000, even as

    simple as silkscreened CE marks, that would be interesting too.

     

    I would also be delighted if you would let the folks at Newark.com

    know that 4000 units are expected to arrive shortly.  Their

    website currently gives bogus August and September dates

    and quantities.
