Import Taxes & Confirmed Delivery Date

Hi,

I pre ordered a Raspberry Pi, should arrive before the end of June.

Does anyone know if the unit will be shipped from the UK or from the distribution center in The Netherlands (where I live).

I want to know this because of the import taxes.

And, I still haven't got my confirmed delivery date by email. (I received the email saying that it'll be delivered before the end of June.)

I know JennyPeters has been answering these questions, but unfortunately I haven't got a reply yet.

1) I'm in the Netherlands as well.
2) The 'pi will ship from the UK.
3) Don't worry: There ARE no import duties. The most important one, VAT ("BTW" in Dutch) is already charged by Farnell-UK. They might charge the UK rate of 21% whereas ours is only 19%. You'll pay it with your order, you won't have to pay it again.

I've been ordering from Farnell for over 10 years, and only now did I find out that most of my orderes were shipped from the UK and not from Utrecht (Maarsen? whatever....)
